BIO

I’m Nicole, a neurodivergent director and writer drawn to bold, distinct storytelling. My work has been recognised internationally - my short film WanderLand was longlisted for a 2023 BAFTA, and I’m now developing it into the feature Like Mother with Mordecai Films, led by BIFA Springboard producer Margot Douglas.

My other short films include Kaleidoscope (nominated for the DirectorsUK Directors Award at Film The House in 2019) as well as the award-winning 2k5, Powerless, and Asphyxiate.

Right now, I’m developing my high-concept folk horror Progeny as a feature with Disauthority. Through the DirectorsUK Inspire Scheme (2024–2025), I’ve been mentored by Jim Loach, shadowing him on Sky Drama’s Lockerbie: A Search for Truth. I’m also working on The Fawn with Curiosity Junction.

Alongside film, I write novels under the pen name Charlotte Bedgood - my debut, The Dawn of the Lightning Goddess, launches a five-book fantasy series.

My ADHD is my co-director - and honestly, it has great ideas.
